New Perham dog park to celebrate grrrrrand opening
Perham area residents—and their dogs—are invited to attend a grand opening celebration for the new Wardale Dog Park in Perham.
A leash cutting ceremony will take place at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 8, though the celebration will run from 4:30-7 p.m. The dog park is located at Arvig Park, along County Road 8 on the north side of town.
The park is a multi-year project of the Perham Rotary Club with partial funding from the John and Annie Wardale estate. It is designed to accommodate dogs of all sizes and includes a variety of agility equipment, water stations and plenty of room to exercise.
Perham Rotary will serve up hotdogs, chips, and treats during the grand opening. Door prizes, a selfie station to commemorate the event, and doggie bags for those four-legged friends will all be part of the event. Local businesses that provide pet services and products will have booths set up.
